• Leah McClure, AKA The WIKKID Witch of Entertainment

WIKKID Witch Entertainment was founded in 2022 by Leah McClure as an independent media, publicity and ideas agency.

McClure has travelled the world for 20 years connecting diverse populations to headquarters through the power of storytelling and entertainment.

She is the visionary behind numerous multi-national music and title sports entertainment programs.

Her most notable program is the CP Holiday Train, where she worked as a creative director for seven years, producing 170 free concerts over 3 weeks across North America. This program that won the Prime Minister’s Volunteer Award in 2012, has a long legacy of alumni including artists such as Sheryl Crow, Jim Cuddy, Alan Doyle, Terri Clark, Colin James, Odds and Sam Roberts Band. Since 1999, this program has raised $22.5 million and more than 5 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America.

She is the Canadian railway historian that produced the ‘CP Connecting Canada Spirit of Tomorrow’ storytelling campaign and train concert tour celebrating 150 years of confederation.

Other notable entertainment and philanthropy programs that she helped conceptualize and produce include CP Has Heart, the CP Women’s Open (LPGA), CP Goals for Kids (Calgary NHL Flames), Spin for a Veteran (Homes for Heroes), Spruce Meadows (Clear Rounds for Heart) and Naked Espy (Calgary Prostate Cancer Centre). Combined, these programs have raised over $40M for social causes.

She is trained in crisis communications and emergency disaster response…both human and environmental.

Her passion to wrestle to build communities through entertainment led her into a literal wrestling career. From 2015 - 2019, she was the Chief Marketing Officer and a star of the FreezerBurn Wrestling Federation (FWF).

In 2020, McClure switched tracks and broke into the electronic dance music industry with the mission to continue to making a difference – one stop at a time. She became a journalist ‘raving, reviewing and interviewing’ across the globe for EDM.com, the most definitive voice of electronic dance music and culture.

In 2023, she represented EDM.com on the red carpet at the Canadian JUNO Awards, Miami Music Week EDMA Awards, and hosted ‘EDM.com Global Insider Access Networking” events in Tulum and Miami.

The good WIKKID Witch returned to her hometown of Calgary in 2024 determined to advocate for the underground.

She is the founder of the first ever Western Canadian Electronic Dance Music Awards.

The ‘witch’ can be found flying around on her broomstick ‘raving, reviewing and interviewing’ with her WIKKID Collective or stationed at CJSW 90.9FM as a volunteer producer and host of the monthly podcast “Keeping it WIKKID”.
